One of my favorite parts about this slab was this big crack running down the length of the piece. It was a perfect opportunity to do some really cool inlay work. I had these brass inlays custom machined specifically for this table and I think they match the feel of the table perfectly.

This dining table was one of my favorite projects to date. I found this massive 10’ black walnut slab buried at the bottom of an arborists storage unit, banged up, wet, and pretty sad looking. After lots of drying, milling, cleaning, preparation, crating, shipping, and assembling, we ended up with this amazing table settled happily in its Manhattan apartment on the other side of the country from where it began its life.

This table fits this space perfectly.
